Zeta Theta Tau
The purpose of Theta Tau is to develop and maintain a high standard of professional interest among its members and to unite them in a strong bond of fraternal fellowship.
Theta Tau is the oldest, largest and foremost Fraternity for Engineers. Since its founding at the University of Minnesota in 1904, over 30,000 members have been initiated. With an emphasis on professionalism coupled with strong bonds of fraternal fellowship, the Theta Tau has chapters at ABET accredited schools, and limits to seventy active student members in any one of its chapters across the nation.
Theta Tau follows carefully a program in the selection and development of its members that stresses the importance of high professional ethics and exemplary practices. Within each chapter, Theta Tau stimulates professional activity and social compatibility; provides a framework for group participation in campus, community, engineering and fraternity affairs; and promotes lasting friendships - a lifetime of brotherhood in an engineering environment.
Good news from Zeta! Recruitment begins soon so stay posted for information regarding Rush events. In previous Rush seasons Zeta has hosted bake sales, game nights and bowling. All of the Rush events are free to Rushees. This is a good time to learn more about current members of the chapter and Alumni. There will be at least two information sessions during each season so Rushees can learn more about the chapter. Information sessions will cover topics including what costs to expect during membership, attendance requirements, housing, Professional Development, Brotherhood, and Pledging.
